General terms and conditions of UKI-Hotel

1. General

Unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing, all our bookings and services are subject to the following terms and conditions.

2. Definitions

The following definitions are given to the following words:

2.1 UKI-Hotel

2.2 Service
The provision by UKI-Hotel of accommodation and/or food and/or drink and/or room, including the associated work and services and everything else in the broadest sense of the word.

2.3 Reserveringswaarde
The total expected turnover of UKI-Hotel with regard to this agreement, which expectation is based on the prices applicable in UKI-Hotel, as established in our confirmation. If at the moment of cancellation, certain parts of the agreement as mentioned in the confirmation are not known, we will charge a minimum reservation value.

2.4 Cancellation
The notification by email by a guest to UKI-Hotel that one or more of the agreed services will not or partially not be used.

2.5 No-show
The failure by a guest to use a service based on this agreement without cancellation.

3. Agreement

All the offers and prices provided by UKI-Hotel are without obligation and subject to change, unless otherwise agreed verbally or in writing. Booking is only possible online at www.uki-hotel.nl (website) and www.booking.com (bookingsite). The agreement is entered into when UKI-Hotel sends the booking confirmation. UKI-Hotel has the right to refuse guests access to the hotel or services if it feels that this is required for normal/orderly business operations. This also includes failure to comply with the House Rules or to follow instructions given by one of more representatives from UKI-Hotel, for example if guests cause (noise) disruption for local residents.

4. Payment and Cancellation

4.1 Method of payment
All payments must be made by bank or credit card. Cancellation must be made in writing and dated (by email).

4.2 No-show
In the case of a no-show, the guest will be obliged in all cases to pay the reservation value, at the latest by the date of Arrival (‘commencement date’) which is given in the booking confirmation.

4.3 Cancellations
For cancellation of the booking, the following applies:

a. If the booking is cancelled more than 72 hours before the commencement date, no payment is due by the guest to UKI-Hotel.

b.In the case of a cancellation less than 72 hours before the commencement date, the guest is required to pay 100% of the reservation value to UKI-Hotel.

c. For the application of a. and b. of this article, the day of arrival starts at midnight.

5. Late payment

a. If and insofar as the guest fails to pay on time, he/she is considered in default without formal notice of default being required. In that case, he/she must pay UKI-Hotel all the judicial and extrajudicial costs related to payment collection. The extrajudicial costs are a minimum of 20% of the principal amount with a minimum of € 150.00, with the addition of VAT.

b. If the guest fails to pay, he/she is also required to pay UKI-Hotel the interest over the due amount equivalent to 2% above the statutory interest. In calculating the interest, part of the month will be charged the equivalent of a whole month. Finally, UKI-Hotel reserves the right of lien for all property owned by or relating to the guest present in the hotel.

6. Liability

UKI-Hotel is not liable for injury to guests. Neither is UKI-Hotel liable for damage to property brought into UKI-Hotel by a guest. The guest indemnifies UKI-Hotel against claims from guests. The above provision does not apply in cases of damage or loss and/or injury due to intentional or gross negligence by UKI-Hotel. The guests are jointly and severally liable for all actions by one of them which cause damage or loss of property and/or injury for UKI-Hotel, people working on behalf of UKI-Hotel and/or third parties, as well as for all damage caused by any animal and/or material and/or anything owned by them or for which they are responsible.

All bookings are also subject to the Uniform Conditions for the Catering Industry.
